The 183d Logistics Readiness Squadron’s (183 LRS) Vehicle Maintenance section began operations in a newly remodeled facility, significantly improving its ability to maintain safe, mission-ready vehicles. This upgrade reflects a dedication to operational readiness and efficiency.

The new facility features an improved workspace layout which optimizes workflow and ensures Airmen can move seamlessly through diagnostics, repairs and inspections. With designated areas tailored for specific tasks, Vehicle Maintenance personnel can now address vehicle needs more effectively and expediently.
“We’re looking at modernization…and trying to increase our capabilities,” said Master Sgt. Kinney Schroll, heavy mobile equipment mechanic supervisor with the 183d Wing, Illinois Air National Guard.

With the completion of this facility upgrade, the 183 LRS Vehicle Maintenance section is better equipped to support Air National Guard's objectives, which increases overall readiness of both the fleet’s vehicles and the 183d Wing.
