Illinois National Guard Prairie Assurance 2015 communications exercise

Lt. Col. Don West briefs a visitors group on the capabilities of the Contingency Response Communications System (CRCS) during a multi-agency disaster response exercise, Prairie Assurance, Aug. 24 - 28, 2015, at the 183rd Fighter Wing in Springfield, Ill. The CRCS is a rugged communications suite, capable of satellite, radio and video conferencing. The exercise was designed to train elements of a task force to rapidly respond to a major earthquake in southern Illinois. Civilian and military experts in incident management supported the training.
