Illinois National Guard and Civil Air Patrol team up for Prairie Assurance 2015 communications exercise
Master Sgt. Adam Blair prepares to board a Civil Air Patrol aircraft to operate a Geospatial Information Interoperability Exploitation ??? Portable (GIIEP) system during a disaster response exercise, Prairie Assurance, Aug. 24 - 28, 2015, at the 183rd Fighter Wing in Springfield, Ill. GIIEP is used to stream video and photo of aerial observations during disaster overflight. The multi-agency event was designed to train elements of a task force to rapidly respond to a major earthquake in southern Illinois.
