Durbin Announces $10.2 Million Earmark For New Illinois National Guard Complex
ABRAHAM LINCOLN CAPITAL AIRPORT – U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin is greeted by Maj Gen Richard Neely, Adjutant General, State of Illinois, at the 183d Wing, in Springfield, IL. Sen. Dick Durbin addressed members of the 183d Wing, and members of the media, announcing a new Base Civil Engineer (BCE) complex breaking ground in the near future. The 24,300 sq ft facility consolidates seven poorly configured and deteriorating facilities into one BCE complex to support combat engineer training and the sustainment, maintenance, modernization and operations of the installation and it’s two primary CRF and Air Operations Group Missions.
